Create a customer and their login in one step, plus quicker user setup
Add a customer and their login user on one form, skip the password for users who do not sign in, and link login users through the customer API.
Setting up a customer who needs to sign in is now one form, and users who never sign in take less time to add.
Create a customer and their login user together
Add a customer and their login in one step, without going to the users screen first.
Create a new user on the customer form
On the Create Customer page, choose Create New User and enter the person's name, email and mobile number.
Enable Login sets the password
Turn Enable Login on to set a password. Turn it off and no password is needed.
Contact fields fill in as you type
As you type the new user's name, email or mobile number, the customer's contact person fields fill in automatically. You can still change them.
Link an existing user instead
Choose Select Existing User to link a client who does not yet have a customer record.
The user and customer are saved together
The user and the customer are saved together, so a failed save does not leave a stray user behind. Creating a user needs the user-creation permission, and your plan's user limit still applies.
No password needed for users with login turned off
Set Login Status to Disabled
Set Login Status to Disabled on the Add User form and the password fields disappear. No password is required, so you can save the user straight away.
An earlier password is ignored
Any password typed before switching login off is ignored, so it cannot block the save.
The customer API keeps customers linked to login users
If your own software connects to GetBizApps, the customer API now keeps customers linked to their login users correctly.
Link a client user when you create a customer
When you create a customer, you pass a client user from your company that is not already linked to another customer.
Change the login user on update
When you update a customer, you can change which login user it is linked to.
Clear errors for invalid users
Requests that point at a user outside these rules are rejected with a clear error.
