Fair late marks after a break, and manual entries measured the same way
Late marks now follow each employee's first clock-in of the day, HR-entered records show late arrivals, and each employee gets one record per day.
Attendance now treats a day with a break fairly, and HR-entered records match what a clock-in would show.
Late marks follow the first arrival of the day
Returning from a break is not a second late arrival
Only an employee's first clock-in of the day is compared with the shift start. A later clock-in after a break does not add another late mark.
Manual entries are measured the same way
HR-entered attendance records late arrivals
When HR adds or edits an attendance record, the late arrival and the minutes late are calculated and saved, the same way a clock-in would record them.
One attendance record per employee per day
Simultaneous clock-ins cannot create two daily records
The system keeps one attendance record per employee for each date, so two clock-ins for the same day cannot create a second record.
