Automation builder — segments, contact fields, and easier flows

A set of improvements across the Automation and BotFlow builders makes flows faster to configure and less error-prone.

Richer contact updates

The Update Contact node — in both BotFlow and Automation — can now assign a contact to segments in addition to updating type, source, and tags, so a single step in your flow can do more.

Easier WhatsApp Flow and template steps

The WhatsApp Form step now lets you pick a Flow from a dropdown instead of typing its ID, and the Image step in the Flow builder accepts a direct upload alongside a URL. Template messages with an image, video, document, or text header now send correctly from Automation.

Real file uploads for campaign audiences

Uploading a contact list for a campaign is now a proper file upload stored in your workspace, replacing the previous plain-text file path field.

Store access, accounting, reliability improvements and fixes

This release tightens security and reliability across the board, and closes out a batch of accuracy fixes in refunds, stock, and order entry.

Store access

Lists, reports, exports, and detail pages now only show data from the stores a user is assigned to, and deactivating a user signs them out immediately instead of waiting for their session to expire.

Accounting

Every posting is now protected against duplicates, purchase returns post correctly, and any posting that fails is recorded instead of lost, so it can be found and repaired safely.

Scheduled tasks and backups

Automatic backups and other daily jobs now run in your store's own time zone, catch up if they miss their window, never overlap, and log every run. Every backup is also signed at creation, so a restore can verify it genuinely came from your installation.

Stock movements and exports

Each stock movement now links directly to the sale, purchase, return, transfer, adjustment, or expense that caused it. Product and list exports stream out in batches instead of building the whole file at once, so they complete reliably even on shared hosting with big catalogues.

Speed

Checkout, the kiosk, and everyday admin pages now load faster thanks to fewer database lookups behind the scenes.

Fixes

  • Partial and tax-inclusive refunds now calculate from the original sale amounts, including refunds applied to a customer's balance.
  • A credit sale that's already been settled can no longer be voided.
  • Purchase returns correctly account for quantities already returned.
  • Customer statements show the right balance after a sale is paid and then refunded.
  • Supplier payments and kiosk orders no longer duplicate from a double-click or a slow connection.
  • Stock transfers check availability across every line for the same product.
  • Product variants keep their identity through a re-import or edit, and a variant with stock can't be removed by accident.
  • Customer-facing displays no longer cross over between tills without a terminal selected.

Plus a number of smaller fixes and reliability improvements in this release.

Updating

Back up your data, then apply the update from Settings → Updates as usual — this release requires PHP 8.3 or newer. Nothing changes at your till until you're ready: Shopify/WooCommerce connections, quotations, custom scripts, and the new security options all stay switched off until you turn them on.

Schedule posts for later, with full date and time control

Posting from the composer now defaults to publishing immediately, with a simple "Schedule for future" checkbox when you want to plan ahead — matching the scheduling experience used elsewhere in Bizwachat.

Pick the exact time, not just the date

Turning on scheduling reveals a full calendar and time picker, so a scheduled post goes out at the exact date and time you choose, not just sometime that day.

Send documents over WhatsApp

Receipts, credit notes, quotations, statements, and payment vouchers can now go out over WhatsApp straight from wherever you're already viewing them — no need to download a PDF and send it separately.

Two delivery options

Pick whichever fits your setup: the free Click-to-Chat link needs no configuration at all, or hook up the Meta Cloud API if you want messages to go out automatically with delivery status you can check later.

Set up once, verify before customers see it

Wire up a single WhatsApp connection for the whole company, or give each store its own under Settings → WhatsApp. Run a test against your credentials and templates first, and if a message doesn't go through, resend it straight from the WhatsApp log rather than starting over.

See your WhatsApp template quality and delivery health

Every WhatsApp template card now shows a quality badge — High, Medium, Low, or Quality pending — along with the reasons behind it and when it was last assessed.

Know before delivery suffers

A delivery-health badge shows whether a template is fully deliverable, limited, or blocked. When delivery is limited or blocked, an expandable panel lists exactly what Meta flagged and how to fix it, so you're not left guessing why messages aren't going through.

Always current

Quality and health ratings now update in real time as Meta reassesses a template, not just the next time templates are synced.

Connect WhatsApp your way — Business App or Cloud API

Connecting a WhatsApp number now supports both ways businesses actually run WhatsApp: keep using the WhatsApp Business App on your phone while Bizwachat also sends and receives through the API, or connect Cloud API-only if you're moving off the app entirely.

A smoother, more reliable connection flow

The signup flow is more resilient across regions and browsers, and correctly recognizes when setup is cancelled or still in progress instead of leaving you on a stuck screen.

Clear guidance when a PIN is needed

If Meta requires your existing two-step verification PIN to finish activating a number, Bizwachat now tells you exactly that, rather than failing silently.

Add product images and brand logos from a list of links

Setting up product photos and brand logos no longer means uploading files one at a time. Put the image URLs in a spreadsheet column, or just paste a list of links, and let the system pull them in for you.

Check the match before it fetches

Before anything downloads, you get a preview of which link is matched to which product or brand. Once you confirm it, the images are fetched in manageable batches rather than all at once.

Import stock counts and adjustments from a spreadsheet

Stock takes and bulk corrections are now a spreadsheet import instead of a manual line-by-line job. Build your adjustment or count in a spreadsheet, upload it, and the system matches each row to the right product by SKU or barcode.

No more hunting for the right item

Because matching happens by SKU or barcode rather than product name, near-duplicate or similarly named products won't get mixed up during a count — every row lands on the exact item it's meant for.
